Facilit8 Frequently Asked Questions
Facilit8 is built on clarity, consistency, and trust. Our business networking groups in Perth operate differently from open or high-pressure networking models, so we are often asked how membership works, what is expected, and whether Facilit8 is the right fit. Below you will find answers to the most common questions about attending events, joining a group, and what it means to be part of the Facilit8 network.
Choosing the right business networking group is an important decision. Facilit8 exists to create structured, relationship-driven networking environments where members feel confident investing their time and energy. These frequently asked questions are designed to help you understand how Facilit8 works, what membership includes, and how our groups are structured to support long-term business growth.
What Is Facilit8?
Facilit8 is a Perth-based business networking organisation that runs structured breakfast meetings and casual sundowners. Our focus is on building genuine referral relationships through consistency, professional exclusivity, and long-term connection.

Once registered, the relevant group leaders and event hosts are notified and will be expecting you.
Do I Need to Attend a Breakfast Before Applying for Membership?

You must also attend the breakfast of the specific group you wish to apply to join.
Applications are reviewed and approved by the group itself to protect group dynamics.

Is Attendance Required Once I Become a Member?
Yes. Regular attendance is expected once you are a signed-up member, as consistency is essential for building trust and referral relationships.
We understand that life and family come first. Emergencies, holidays, and extended absences do occur. Facilit8 has a system in place to help members arrange a suitable proxy to attend on their behalf during planned or sustained absences.
Can I Attend More Than One Group?
Yes. Visitors may attend different Facilit8 groups to find the best fit for their profession and location before applying for membership.
Members may attend sundowners and other Facilit8 events outside their primary group. Members may also attend another group’s breakfast as a proxy when required, while respecting the professional exclusivity of that group.
Are Facilit8 Groups Capped in Size?
Yes. Facilit8 groups are capped at approximately 15 members.
This ensures meetings remain productive, discussions are balanced, and every member has the opportunity to contribute. Smaller groups support deeper relationships and more effective referrals.
What Happens When a Group Is Full?
If a group is full, you will be placed on a waiting list for that group.
You will also receive first right of refusal when new Facilit8 groups open that are relevant to your profession or location.
How Much Does Membership Cost?
Facilit8 membership costs include a $220 once-off sign-up fee and $180 per month.
All prices are GST exclusive.
Membership fees are spread across a 12-month period to reduce monthly cashflow impact. Membership continues to be billed in December and January, even when regular meetings pause. Fees are processed on direct debit via Pinch Payments a Xero approved partner.
Is There a Minimum Term or Annual Commitment?
No. Facilit8 membership operates on a month-to-month basis with no annual lock-in.
If a member leaves and later wishes to rejoin, a rejoining fee applies.
Are Memberships Exclusive?
Yes. Facilit8 operates on a one-person-per-profession, per-group model.
This protects members from direct competition within their group and allows genuine referral relationships to develop.
Do Members Have to Give Referrals?
No. Referrals are not forced.
Facilit8 believes referrals are strongest when relationships develop organically. A member’s value is not measured solely by referral volume but also by leadership, education, insight-sharing, and meaningful contribution to the group.
What Types of Businesses Can Join Facilit8?
Facilit8 groups typically include professional services and skilled trades such as finance, accounting, bookkeeping, legal, property, creative services, print, and trades.
All professions are welcome unless specifically excluded. Prospective members are encouraged to visit groups where professions are complementary.
Why Are Marketing and IT Companies Excluded?
Why Are MLM and Network Marketing Businesses Not Permitted?
Facilit8 does not accept multi-level marketing or network marketing businesses.
Membership seats and member time are reserved for established businesses offering defined professional services or trades.
What Is the Difference Between Breakfast Meetings and Sundowners?
Breakfast meetings are structured, boardroom-style sessions for members and invited guests, focused on consistency and relationship depth.
Sundowners are casual networking events that bring together all groups, visitors, and guests to build rapport and community in a relaxed setting.
Who Is Facilit8 Best Suited For?
Facilit8 is best suited to business owners and professionals who value long-term relationships, protected exclusivity, structured discussion, and sustainable referral growth.
