About the Member
Direct Connect Electrical & Air
We have been in business for 10 years and serve B2B. We have a large team, and the business is mostly under full management, with an ops team and a general manager. We have a total of 30 staff.
We work for schools, Prisons, Insurance companies, and commercial real estate.
I have a goal called Project 40: when I turn 40, I'll no longer be involved in the business at all. This will either be from selling the business or stepping aside.
Other businesses
I have 2 other businesses: ice vending machine rentals and a marine company called E-tech Marine.
These are both start-up businesses that Im working on so that when Project 40 is achieved, I can jump straight into these businesses and grow them to eventually sell them.
Invetsments
I own 6 investment properties so far; the plan is that once I get to Project 40, these properties will be giving enough rental income that I'll have roughly $150k free cash flow per year, which will be my baseline income so that I can keep growing other businesses and my property portfolio without having to worry about making additional money to support me while I grow these.

Areas of Expertise
Investments, business start-ups, and leadership are my main areas of expertise.
Investing
In investing, I clearly understand how to run a tight property portfolio, along with tactics to invest in property that can become cash flow and positively geared quickly, from purchase through a number of strategies.
Business start-ups
I have had a couple of start-up businesses that havent worked out, and through this I have learned a lot. I now understand how to test the market before investing in a product, forecast business returns, and stand out from competitors. I'm not an expert, but I have all the tools to start businesses and grow them to a potential sale.
Leadership
I have been in high-end leadership and coaching for about 6 years now, and I've been coached myself. I have passed this knowledge on to my team, teaching them things like leaving your boots at the door (shutting off when you get home), how to communicate with your team, and how leaders need to self-reflect before managing underperforming staff, etc.
I have built my main business without working weekends and doing 40hr weeks from the day it started, and i hold those values and make sure the team carries them on
Points of Difference
1. I run businesses without it affecting my family life. For example, I took a 6-week holiday without any calls and deleted every business app on my phone, completely 100% business blind
2. I don't live large. I sold my boat, my plane, and I'm holding off on personal spending even though my house needs a reno. I funnel all money into investing, not spending. But yes, I still do live comfortably and not a tight-ass by any means
3. I am comfortable public speaking in front of crowds; I often do Q&A sessions with our clients and leadership training with my team. I get a thrill out of standing in front of a crowd and sharing my learnings.
4. Multiple income streams: I have a few income streams that I have created and am currently growing. From a sales company to a trade company and investing, I have skills in a few areas but am not a master at one.
5. Mindset coaching: I really enjoy helping others with their mindsets, whether it's mates, People in my business, or randoms.
I have learned a lot about how to challenge your mindset and the upper-limiting beliefs that hold you back. Through this I have encouraged many ex-employees and friends to get into buisness where i teach them the skills to rapid grow there buisness while still having a ballanced lifestyle.
